Elon Musk Turns Teslas Into Esports Arenas: The Future of Competitive Driving
Elon Musk has hinted that Tesla is planning to enter the esports scene, but not in the way you’d expect. Rather than sponsoring a gaming team, Musk wants real-life driving to become a competitive online sport.
Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) system will now allow users to enter ranked matchmaking, Elon Musk complete with leaderboards, kill counts, and win streaks.
One Tesla beta tester noted, “I thought my car was taking me to the grocery store, but apparently I was queued into a Death Race match. I won.”
Musk has described this as “the future of both transportation and esports.” And with prize money on the table, expect to see high-score commute Twitch streams of Tesla people literally driving for their lives.
Gaming is the REAL reason for Musk’s self-driving car
